Ciara Speller

Weeknight Anchor Ciara Speller joined 22News in July of 2017 as a multimedia journalist. Prior to her work at WWLP, Ciara received a master’s degree in Journalism from Emerson College in Boston where she was awarded the Journalism Graduate Student Award. Ciara also attended Salve Regina University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Communications and minored in Dance. Ciara has interned at various stations in New England including WHDH 7 News in Boston and ABC 6 in Providence.

A native of New Hampshire, Ciara was actively involved in New Hampshire politics where she covered rallies during the last presidential campaign. She also had the opportunity to report from the 2017 Presidential Inauguration in Washington. D.C. for WEBN-TV in Boston.

In addition to political coverage, Ciara also had the opportunity to do some entertainment reporting. She had the privilege of covering the 89th Academy Awards where she interviewed the chief makeup artist for the film, “Suicide Squad,” and the director for the documentary, “The White Helmets,” Orlando von Einsiedel.

Ciara is also actively involved in the western Massachusetts community. She currently serves on the board for the non-profit organization, I Found Light Against All Odds, which provides resources for at-risk youth and their families.

A lover of the arts, Ciara enjoys experiencing the dance and theatrical offerings throughout the area.
