Tamara Sacharczyk is a weekday morning anchor and I-Team reporter for 22News.
Tamara was born and raised in East Longmeadow, and couldn’t be happier to work for the station she grew up watching!
She joined the news team in July 2014 as a multi-media journalist, and has covered several high profile events including the 2017 Super Bowl in Houston and the Presidential Inauguration.
Tamara’s work has also been recognized by broadcast professionals. She was awarded the Mass Broadcaster Association’s “Feature Story” award for her investigation into human trafficking. She also won a “Sport’s Feature Award,” for her piece on the Super Bowl.
Tamara was named the “Young Careerist of the Year,” by Western Massachusetts Women Magazine in 2015.
Prior to joining 22News, Tamara was an investigative intern at WHDH 7News in Boston. She also interned at NBC’s Washington, D.C. Bureau, where she assisted reporters, producers, and directors for NBC Nightly News.
Tamara graduated magna cum laude with a degree in multimedia journalism and political communications from Emerson College in Boston.
Tamara has been actively involved in raising awareness and funds for many organizations including the American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation, the Matty Fund, Rachel’s Table, the Children’s Miracle Network, the Free Your Mind Foundation, the Benjarvus GreenEllis Foundation and the Epilepsy Foundation.
