Women’s History Month is still being celebrated in Springfield.

The Springfield City Library held its fourth “My Beloved Springfield Women’s Leadership Panel” Thursday night.

Attendees explored local leadership opportunities for women and girls at an information fair, and then attended a leadership panel featuring women in positions of leadership from the city.

“There is a role for everybody,” said Jean Canosa-Albano, assistant director at the Springfield City Library. “In getting involved and becoming a leader. Some of us are going to be behind the scenes, some of us will be front and center we can all learn in different ways.”

Canosa-Albano told 22News the panel began in 2015 when Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor came to Springfield.
