Celebrity Bartending competition raises money for Holyoke’s St. Patrick’s Committee

Holyoke St. Patrick's Parade

The final round of a Celebrity Bartending competition was held Saturday night in South Hadley.

Holyoke’s St. Patrick’s Committee hosted the fundraiser at the Halfway House to raise money for the committee.

Halfway House was competing for tips against Griffin’s Cafe, which held their celebrity bartending event on March 1st. Members of the Holyoke Fire Department were the celebrities behind the bar Saturday night.

Kelly Mcgiverin, Chair of Holyoke Events Committee told 22News, “It’s just a great way to bring the Irish spirit into the community and get everyone involved from Holyoke, South Hadley and all of the surrounding towns.”

The 68th Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade is on Sunday, March 17th.

You can watch the parade on the CW Springfield or on wwlp.com at noon.
