CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – If you’re looking for ways to get the family involved this Easter Holiday, we’ve got the perfect tips for you! Charlotte Smith, Blogger with At Charlotte’s House showed us a bunch of different ways to decorate Easter eggs!Easter Egg decorating1. How to hard boil an egg (two methods)

Place the eggs in lukewarm water and bring to a boil. Cover and allow to sit for about 10 minutes. For better odds hard boiling an egg that will easily peel, consider bringing the water to boil FIRST, then carefully placing the eggs into the water. After 10 minutes, dunk eggs in ice water to stop the cooking.2. Marbled Easter Eggs (Materials: hard boiled eggs, string, nail polish, toothpick, disposable cup)

Fill the cup with water deep enough to submerge the egg. Tie a thin string around the egg. Drizzle nail polish onto the surface of the water and swirl with the toothpick. Dunk the egg down through the nail polish and gently lift back out. The marbleized pattern will remain on the shell of the egg.3. Wax Painted Eggs (Materials: WARM hard boiled eggs, crayons)

Hard boil your eggs. Allow to cool slightly and then carefully place warm eggs in egg carton. With a crayon, draw on the eggs while they’re still hot and watch as the wax melts leaving behind a vibrant design.4. Silk Imprinted Eggs (Materials: 100% silk tie, hard boiled eggs)

Cut a section of the silk tie large enough to wrap around the egg. Tightly wrap the fabric around the egg and secure with a rubber band or twist tie. Place silk wrapped egg into a scrap of white sheet or tablecloth and again secure in place. Place wrapped egg into a pot of water and add a few tablespoons white vinegar. Bring to a boil and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool and remove silk.
