You can admire creatively decorated Christmas trees…and maybe take one home for yourself at the 8th annual “Fez”tival of Trees in Springfield.
The Melha Shriners created this annual tradition to generate an exciting and creative energy for the Melha Shrine and the City of Springfield. The 2018 event runs through Dec. 2, returning to the Melha Shrine Center Butterfield Auditorium located at 133 Longhill St., Springfield.
In addition to the incredible display of decorated trees, there will be a vendor fair and a variety of entertainment throughout the event. Food and refreshments are also available for purchase.
New this year is the opportunity to have breakfast with Santa. The breakfasts with Santa will take place Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 from 8:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Reservations are required for the cost of $5 per person, with no cost for children 3 and under.
The sponsored trees are donated, and attendees may purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win their favorites. Admission is $2 per person, children under age 12 may attend free of charge. Free and ample parking is available at the Shrine Auditorium.
November 23 – December 2. Opening day hours on Nov. 23 run from 11 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. Weekday hours Nov. 26 through Nov. 30 take place from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Saturday hours are 11 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. and Sundays are 11 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
