It’s a rainy day at the fair so we’ve moved our show inside for Rhode Island Day at The Big E. It may be the smallest state but there’s lots of spots for family fun. We’ll talk about some lesser known vacation spots in Rhode Island.
This wet weather is nothing compared to what The Big E has experienced in the past. Noreen Tassinari, Director of Marketing and Big E history buff tells us about the early days of the fair and how it endured flooding.
How could we talk about Rhode Island without mentioning seafood? We’ll show you some tasty options at the fair. “Tasty” also describes the short rib with truffle and mushroom recipe that Chef Bill Collins demonstrates for us in The Big E’s demo kitchen. You can see a different recipe prepared there every day throughout the run of The Big E.
Music legend Tony Orlando performs again for fairgoers tonight. We talk to him about his more than fifty years in the music industry.
We also get a demonstration of some unusual power tools that cut right through metal!
