Meet Hilda, our Pet of the Week! $5 feline event coming to Dakin tomorrow.

Mass Appeal

Meet Hilda!  This sweet girl came to Dakin from Connecticut because her family was moving and couldn’t bring her along.  Hilda is used to living indoors, and her family describes her as “friendly to strangers, a couch potato, quiet and independent.”  She was the only pet in her previous household, so she has not yet lived with another pet.  Hilda is a very social girl who loves to greet visitors to her room at Dakin in Springfield.  If she isn’t adopted before Friday, Hilda will be one of the select adult cats whose adoption fee will be reduced to $5 this Friday for our $5 Feline Adoption Event.!/

$5 Feline Adoption Event – Friday, October 5 at both Dakin Adoption Centers in Springfield and Leverett
Tomorrow is the big day! We’re reducing the adoption fees on select adult cats in Springfield and Leverett to $5 for one day only!  Depending on pre-event adoption counts, there will be about around 30 cats who qualify for the reduced adoption fee, most of them in Springfield and a couple in Leverett.  All $5 Felines will go home with age-appropriate vaccinations and microchip.  Most have already been spayed/neutered, if they need the surgery, Dakin will arrange for it at no cost to the adopter.  Doors open at both adoption centers at 12:30pm.  Springfield is open until 5:30pm, Leverett until 4:30pm.

Toasted Owl Gives a Hoot Halloween Fun Run – Sunday, October 28 – Race starts at 10:30am in downtown Northampton
