Laying out in the sun may be relaxing, but all of that time in the sun can lead to skin cancer and melanoma. Meghan Rothschild with Impact Melanoma shared different ways to protect your skin.
- Wear sunscreen daily, reapply every two hours, SPF 30 or more
- Wear protective clothing, big hats and sunglasses
- Perform a monthly skin exam
- Limit your sun exposure – bring an umbrella to the beach or seek shade
- See a dermatologist annually for a skin check
