CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – Graduation season is upon us, but you don’t have to spend a lot to celebrate your graduate in style! Mary Ann Dennis, Owner Of All Events Realized, shared some budget-friendly party ideas!Planning a Budget Friendly Graduation Party
1). Red Carpet Entrance Way:
A. Balloons lining the sidewalk or
B. Pictures of your graduate thru the years.
Note: Use the school colors.2). “Sign in” area
A puzzle or jenga pieces, or rocks
A large mat for your graduate’s picture
3). An advice jar or Advice Tree ……see pictures
4). Card box made from grad cap. see picture5). Keep the food simple and fun
A. sliders: pork, chicken, burgers,
B. kebabs (meat, veggie,) over rice
C. Pasta Party with different sauces
D. If you do a pot luck: organized what people bring. chicken, rice and salad. Put together a list with portions and have slot to fill in. 1/4 lb of meat per person.
Display the food in a SPECIAL Way
It’s all in the display. Do levels with the food.
Roll up the napkins into diplomas
Fruit kebabs are yummy.6). Candy Bar / Popcorn Bar / Ice cream bar
Vanilla with all kinds of toppings set up like a candy bar.
See pictures. Pick a neutral color or school colors. and make the signs in school colors.
5). Make memories….do a Selfie corner:
HAVE FUN. Instead of a photo-booth, Perhaps a SELFIE CORNER. the items to use can be self made. There are templates online.
