Since 1992, Rachel’s Table has been working to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste in the Springfield area. Judy Yaffe is here to tell us about the organization and how we can get involved.
Over ten years ago, Daydie Hochberg decided to share some of her bounty with her hungry neighbors. With friends and family helping, she established the Daydie Hochberg Thanksgiving Fund.
With the help of donations and local volunteers, this fund has continued to help buy turkeys and and other foods to make up turkey dinners to give to agencies in the Greater Springfield area. Last year, hundreds of families were helped by Rachel’s Table.
