(Mass Appeal) – In 1968, two best friends flew into a war zone, wearing powder blue dresses, to cheer up battle worn GI’s on the frontlines of the Vietnam War. They were Red Cross Donut Dollies. A new documentary by a western mass filmmaker, that included a number of film professionals from the area, was recently made about these brave women, one of them his mom. Joining me to discuss is the director, Norm Anderson.
