HomeFront Equestrians provides the children of military families a place to take a break from the stresses of military life. HomeFront offers children of all ages free horsemanships porgrams, teaching them not only how to ride horses, but also how to care for them. HomeFront Equestrians is hosting its second annual fundraiser this weekend, Run for the Roses Party and Poker Run on Saturday, May 4 in Chicopee.

Elizabeth Hayes, co-founder of HomeFront Equestrians and Rick Brohman, president Garand Crew Chapter of Leathernecks Motorcyle Club International, joined us to speak about this great event on Saturday. The event will feature food, Derby viewing, a poker run, bounce house, and amazing live music.

Run for the Roses will take place at the View Street Tavern, 92 View Street Chicopee. Admission is $10 and children 12 and under are free.

Traveling from Nashville, Tennessee to support and perform live at this event is the talented Dee Rock, joined by Westfield’s Whiskey Traveler. Don’t miss a sneak peek at the original song, “Forgotten Soldiers.”
