(Mass Appeal) – This summer the City of Westfield and all of Western Mass celebrate 100 years of Barnes Regional Airport. This local airport not only provides a home for the 104th Fighter Wing of the United States Airforce, but it’s also been, and continues to be, an important economic driver to the region. Barnes Regional Airport manager, Chris Willenborg, and the 104th Fighter Wing Commander, Col. David ‘Moon’ Halasi-Kun, join me now with details on this year’s celebrations.
