CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Don Shipman anchors 22News at 10 p.m. weeknights on The CW Springfield. He is also working for you as a member of the 22News I-Team.

Don joins WWLP with more than 20 years of journalism experience. He’s a native upstate New Yorker, and he spent much of his career in Utica, New York as lead evening news anchor at WKTV. He also spent time as an adjunct professor of journalism at his alma mater, Herkimer College. Don has been actively involved in the American Heart Association, the United Way, Hospice, and is currently a member of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.

Don and his husband Adam love spending time with their family at their lake house in the
Adirondacks.  Now that they call New England home, they’re looking forward to exploring all that western Massachusetts and New England have to offer.

In his spare time, you can find Don at his local CrossFit box, drinking way too much coffee (mocha latte), and spending time with his pets – dog, Bella and cat, Deacon.

Welcome Don Shipman on the WWLP-22News Facebook post:
