Three people are facing charges after leading police on a chase through West Springfield on Sunday.
According to West Springfield police, the incident started when three suspects allegedly stole several items from Home Depot.
They were later identified as:
- Michael Masselli of West Haven, Connecticut; Charged with failure to stop for police, larceny over $1,200 and receiving stolen property under $1,200.
- James Cuneo of Hamden, Connecticut; Charged with larceny over $1,200
- Bianca Flores of North Haven, Connecticut; Charged with larceny over $1,200
The suspects allegedly managed to get away and drive off. That’s when an officer saw the suspects’ vehicle on Route 5 North and attempted to pull them over, but they then traveled onto I-91 South to I-291 East.
According to police, the vehicle reached speeds over 75-miles-an-hour, before eventually coming to a stop in Chicopee.
Chicopee Police and Massachusetts State Police assisted in the arrest and recovered $2,944.20 in electrical supplies from the car.
