SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield resource officer has been suspended following an alleged physical altercation with a student at Kiley Middle School.
Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News Acting Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood suspended Lawrence Pietrucci for five days without pay for violating departmental rules and regulations during the April 22 incident at the school.
The officer, who’s part of the police department’s Quebec Unit, was reassigned earlier this week.
