Car catches fire after crashing into building in Springfield

(WWLP) – A car crashed into a building and caught fire early Saturday morning in Springfield.

Springfield Fire Spokesman Dennis Ledger told 22News, around 2 a.m. Saturday, firefighters arrived at 145 Armory Street to find a vehicle on fire inside a commercial building.

The car caught fire as a result of the accident, and the two occupants of the car were able to escape before firefighters arrived.

The fire was quick extinguished and pulled from the building.
