Car catches fire on Roosevelt ave in Springfield

Firefighters in Springfield were able to put out a car fire on Sunday evening.

Springfield Fire Spokesman told 22News the car caught fire around 8:10 this evening, on the corner of Page Blvd. and Roosevelt Ave.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire. No one was injured.

Leger also said the fire started from children throwing coins into the car, but one of the coins landed inside the cigarette lighter.
