22News is partnering with local animal adoption agencies to Clear The Shelters this Saturday.

Meet Hitch Hike. She’s been at Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center the longest, waiting for a home.

According to the shelter, Hitch Hike is 2-years-young and just had kittens. She has been at the shelter since May 28th.

“One of the Animal Control Officers had gone out on a call for a stray dog and when he was getting out of his vehicle, a cat jumped in… he named her Hitch Hike. Hitch Hike came back to the shelter with the ACO and it was discovered that she was pregnant. Hitch Hike gave birth to her 4 kittens in June at TJO. Hitch Hike’s kittens have since been adopted.”

Hitch Hike’s ideal home would be one without any other pets.

If you’re interested in giving Hitch Hike a forever home, head over to Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center this Saturday August 18.
