Conn. (WWLP) – Connecticut is reporting its first pediatric flu death of the season.

The Connecticut Department of Public Health confirmed that a New Haven County child under the age of 10 died this month. No other information about the patient has been released.

The flu season is between October and May, but the highest levels are typically seen between now and March.
