WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) – If you are already in search of warmer weather you are in luck. Bradley International Airport this evening celebrating its launch of its non-stop flight to Jamaica.

Representatives from Spirit Airlines, Visit Jamaica, and other leaders were at Bradely for the official inauguration of the new service. This is the first time that a nonstop flight to Jamaica is being offered from this airport.

“Jamaica welcomes this partnership and looks forward to the positive impact of this arrangement for our tourism sector and economy. This new service is commencing just in time for the start of our winter tourism season,” said Audrey Mark, Jamaica Ambassador to the United States.

According to census data, there are more than 56,000 residents with Jamaican ancestry in Connecticut. The nonstop service from Bradley International Airport to Montego Bay begins December 15th. Bradley announced the return of its popular non-stop flight from Bradley to Ireland, as well as a new non-stop flight to Las Vegas.
