ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – Connecticut State Police are still looking into what led up to the one-car crash on I-91 South in Enfield on Sunday, in which three people were killed and one person was injured.
According to Connecticut State Police, the car veered off the right side of the highway near Exit 47E, traveled through the grass shoulder, and up an embankment before striking a tree at around 7:18 in the morning.
When troopers got there, they found three people dead and the driver injured. The driver has been identified by Connecticut State Police as 20-year-old Christopher Vega of Plainville. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with what state police say were non-life threatening injuries.
