(WTNH) – A Mossup man tried to avoid being taken into custody by jumping out a window Friday.

Plainfield Police attempted to make an arrest 37-year-old Eric Schott, who had active warrant for Failure to Appear.

Officers attempted to make contact with Schott when they observed him entering his home. Police have not released this address.

After refusing to leave his home, Schott tried to flee on foot from police by escaping out of a back window into the woods.

Schott was quickly found by the officer executing the warrant, and he was placed into custody without further incident.

He is being held on a $10,000 bond, and is set to be arraigned at Danielson Superior Court on Monday.
