The East Windsor Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the casino’s plan of development.
The Commission’s chairman, Joe Ouellette said the development plan is appropriate for zoning and presents a tremendous economic opportunity.
“We’ve had an eyesore there for a long time,” Ouellette said. “The vacant store. I think it’s a tremendous upgrade in both appearances and it’ll be great for the community.”
He said Tuesday night’s approval paves the way to the the next steps in the site approval plan process.
Ouellette said his hope is to make East Windsor a Connecticut destination.
