The I-91 South on-ramp and off-ramp at Exit 49 in Enfield remain closed following a gasoline truck rollover accident on Monday.
According to Connecticut State Police, the ramps will be closed through rush hour Tuesday afternoon and possibly through the morning commute on Wednesday.
The closures are in place while clean up for an “extensive gasoline leak” from Monday’s accident is continued.
22News’ sister station WTNH reports that the driver, 32-year-old Jonathan Edwards, of West Springfield, sustained minor injuries in the rollover. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford for treatment.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is working to clean up about 2,600 gallons of gas that spilled during the accident.
