Justice Department looking into Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke

Connecticut

The federal government this month shot down the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes proposal to build a casino on non-tribal land in East Windsor, Connecticut.

Now, the Interior Department’s Inspector General is investigating the man who made that decision.

According to the Washington Post, there are at least three probes into Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s involvement, and one of them concerns the East Windsor casino.

That project is on hold, as the tribes failed to get federal permission to build on non-tribal land.
