One dead after triple shooting in Hartford outside nightclub

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Police in Hartford are investigating a triple shooting that happened overnight which has left one man dead. 

Police say that just after 1:45 a.m., Hartford Police received a shot spotter activation of gunfire totaling 8 rounds in the area of 3155 Main Street. The nightclub, Vibz Uptown, located at 3155 Main Street, had just closed and crowds flooded the parking lot. 

Officers responded immediately and administered medical aid to an apparent gunshot wound victim. 

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital. After further investigation, police discovered a second and third gunshot victim has also been transported to St. Francis Hospital. 

The victims are described as a 28 and 29-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. The 28-year-old man has died. 

Police are requesting that anyone with any information leave tips, which can be left anonymously, at 860-722-TIPS.
