Tuesday’s storm impacting flights at Bradley International Airport

Those traveling out of Bradley International Airport on Tuesday night had to wait a little longer for their flights.

Just after 4:30 p.m., the airport announced that for safety precautions, personnel in the air traffic control tower had been evacuated and flight operations had been suspended.

Around 4:50 p.m., the airport said that flight operations were attempting to return to normal.

Before 5 p.m., the airport said flight operations were trying to return to normal, but according to the flight view tracker, a number of flights had to be delayed or diverted coming into Bradley Airport. 

Some flights to East Coast cities also experienced severe weather like, Newark had to be canceled completely.
