West Hartford firefighters rescue kitten from storm drain

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Firefighters in West Hartford made a daring rescue on Saturday evening.

Fire crews were called to help out a kitten who was stuck in a storm drain.

The rescue happened on Hillcrest Avenue in the Elmwood section of town.

Firefighter and paramedic Rocco Laudato went down into the storm drain and emerged with the kitten.

It is not known how long the kitten was stuck.
