One man was injured and police in Pittsfield are investigating after a shooting Saturday night.
According to Pittsfield Police Lt. Thomas Dawley, officers were called to the area of 54 Spring Street at 11:46 p.m. for a ShotSpotter activation and multiple reports of shots fired.
Dawley said when police got to Spring Street they found a 38-year-old man who had been hurt after a projectile bullet grazed his leg.
The suspect, who is described as a white man, 6 feet tall, and was wearing a dark colored jacket, ran South on Spring Street.
A police dog was able to find a gun and other evidence left behind by the suspect, Dawley said.
He also said the incident seems to be isolated.
Police are looking into the what led up to the incident, and are asking anyone with information to call officers at 413-448-9705.
