West Springfield police seized more than 100 bags of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana Tuesday night.
According to a post on the West Springfield Police Department Facebook page, Devin Martinez, of Springfield, and Jennifer Poulin, of Torrington, Connecticut, were arrested in connection with the findings.
The suspects are being charged as follows:
- Poulin – possession of a Class A drug, and a motor vehicle violation warrant
- Martinez – possession to distribute a Class A drug and Class B drug, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
West Springfield narcotics officers were conducting surveillance in the area of 1254 Riverdale Street when they allegedly saw Poulin sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car. Detectives approached the vehicle knowing Poulin had a warrant for her arrest, and took her into custody.
West Springfield police said they found a baggie of heroin on the floor of the car when speaking with Martinez in the drivers seat.
After the vehicle owner gave consent to further search the car, police allegedly found 100 bags of “Pikachu” heroin, 13 grams of crack cocaine, 6 grams of marijuana, and packaging materials.
During the booking process, police say Poulin was also found to be in possession of 4 bags of heroin.
