15 bags of crack cocaine seized in Springfield


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Springfield man is facing charges after police allegedly recovered 15 bags of crack cocaine Thursday afternoon.

Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News, 21-year-old Neftali Marcial-Matias was taken into custody in an alley on Dwight Street after sprinting away from officers on Harrison Avenue.

Walsh said the 15 bags of crack cocaine were found in the alley. Marcial-Matias has been charged with possession with the intent to distribute and resisting arrest.
