2 arrested after car shot by BB gun in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police arrested two men Saturday night after a car was shot by a BB gun.

Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News 19-year-old Davon Lee and 18-year-old David Ballard are now facing the following charges: malicious damage to a motor vehicle, assault by means of a dangerous weapon and possession of ammunition without a license.

Walsh said the victim’s car was shot at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Alden Street. Officers later pulled over the suspects’ car and recovered the loaded BB gun as well as firearm ammunition.
