2 dead in overnight shooting in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)

Two people are dead after an early morning shooting on Sunday. The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division responded to the shooting at approximately 1:24 a.m. in the area of 275 Hillside Avenue.

Officials say there were three total shooting victims  resulting in two fatalities. 

Police have identified the deceased victims as 34-year-old Kevin Campbell of Windsor, and 28-year-old Joshua Steele of Hartford.

Alex Roman, 24, of Hartford was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The extent of his injuries are not yet known at this time.

Hartford Police say the shooting is still under investigation.

Hillside Avenue will be closed for several hours from Catherine Street to Flatbush Avenue while police continue to investigate.
