2 Palmer women charged with heroin distribution

MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – Two women have been arrested in connection with an investigation into heroin distribution in Monson and Palmer. 

According to Monson police, 40-year-old Kristy Giordano and 51-year-old Mary LaBelle, both of Palmer, were taken into custody Thursday after facilitating the sale of heroin in the presence of an undercover police officer.

They have both been charged with distribution of a Class A substance and conspiracy to violate the drug law. Monson police report that Giordano posted a $2,500 cash bail, while LaBelle was released on personal recognizance. Both were due in Palmer District Court Friday.

The investigation was conducted by Monson and Palmer police officers, as well as members of the Hampden County District Attorney’s Eastern Hampden County Narcotics Task Force.
