SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police seized 3,060 bags of heroin, 100 grams of cocaine, 130 bags of marijuana, and $1,660 in cash following an investigation on Genesee Street.
Springfield Police Department spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News the investigation focused on the distribution of heroin out of the home located at 41 Genesee Street.
Four people were arrested Wednesday afternoon: 27-year-old Artem Vasilevich, 37-year-old Wanda Perez, 25-year-old Sherley Pena, and 29-year-old Christopher Boutin.
Walsh said Boutin and Pena were arrested after being observed leaving the home on Genesee Street at different times. Pena allegedly left the home with 2,830 bags of heroin in her possession while Boutin was allegedly found with nine bags.
Both Vasilevich and Perez were arrested inside 41 Genesee Street during an executed search warrant. Inside the home, Walsh said more than 200 bags of heroin, cocaine, crack-cocaine, marijuana, and cash were recovered.
Vasilevich, Perez, and Pena are all charged with heroin and cocaine trafficking and other drug charges. Boutin was charged with possession of a Class A drug.
