4 Springfield residents cited for illegal dumping

Four Springfield residents have been caught illegally dumping in the Springfield area.

In a news release sent to 22News from the City of Springfield, Fernando Torres, Jose Torres, Anabel Rodriguez and Felicia Orr, all of Springfield were issued citations by the city’s police department for illegal dumping.

Details of their citation is part of the city’s effort to curb illegal dumping. Parks, Buildings and Recreational Management has continued to maintain security cameras at multiple sites throughout the city, that are often used for illegal dumping.

Each dumping site is monitored by PBRM with at least two cameras, the City of Springfield says.

“We are going to remain vigilant to ensure everyone understands illegal dumping will not be tolerated in the City of Springfield,” Mayor Sarno stated in the news release. “We are continuing to expand areas and the violators should be aware we will catch up with you, so think twice. This program will remain a priority for my administration and we will provide the necessary resources to ensure all violators are prosecuted.”
