Armed robbery at Chicopee convenience store


Chicopee police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store that took place Monday night.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News, at 10:42 p.m. police received a call for an armed robbery at the Quick Picks Mart on Chicopee Street.

Wilk said the report stated a man dressed in black with a scarf covering his face had allegedly pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.

The man then ran down Chicopee Street from the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

Chicopee police, Massachusetts State Police K9, and Massachusetts State Police AirWing searched for the suspect.

Police are asking anyone who may have information or saw anything to call Chicopee detectives at 413-594-1740.
