Arrest warrant issued for man accused of breaking into, stealing cars in Monson

Monson police have issued an arrest warrant for a Connecticut man accused of breaking into 21 cars and stealing three.

According to Monson police, 21-year-old Lamar Kennedy, of Hartford, is wanted on charges of:

  • 3 counts of larceny of a motor vehicle 
  • 21 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle 
  • 6 counts of larceny under $1200 
  • Larceny over $1200 
  • Larceny of credit cards 

On March 2, Monson police say they were called to multiple residences in town for reports of stolen vehicles, car breaks, and thefts. In total, 21 cars had been entered and three were stolen.  Monson police said on Thursday that two of the stolen vehicles had been found.

They believe there were additional suspects working with Kennedy, but he is currently the only suspect who has been identified in this case.
