Bill Cosby deemed a “sexually violent predator,” sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison

Conversation continues Wednesday morning about comedian Bill Cosby who was led out of a Pennsylvania courtroom in handcuffs Tuesday.

The 81-year-old, now deemed a “sexually violent predator” could serve a decade in prison.

On Tuesday the judge said the comedian still posed a potential threat to the public and denied his lawyers’ request for bail pending an appeal.

Cosby spent many years at a home with his family in a secluded part of Shelburne.

Neighbors told 22News they’d often spot the actor in Shelburne Falls, Conway or Northampton and that they’re shocked by this case.

A Pennsylvania judge sentenced Cosby to 3 to 10 years in prison.

The 81-year-old is also considered to be in poor health.

Cosby could also spend anywhere from weeks to months undergoing evaluations, before he can be assigned to a prison.
