Bronx man to be arraigned for murder of Pittsfield man Wednesday


A Bronx man accused of killing a Pittsfield man in November 2018 is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Wednesday. 

The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office told 22News 40-year-old Lance Burke will be arraigned at Berkshire County Superior Court on a murder charge in the shooting death of 30-year-old David Green.  

The court alleges that Burke shot Green in the neck while he sat in a pick-up truck near Spring and Willow streets.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, a ShotSpotter activation alerted police of the shooting incident just before 9 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Green suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was rushed to Berkshire Medical Center where he later died. 

Burke was arrested on November 20, in the Bronx on an outstanding warrant. He was indicted by a Berkshire County grand jury last week. His arraignment on Wednesday is scheduled for 2 p.m.
