Chicopee man faces drug charges in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – Members of the Strategic Impact Unit arrested Jomar Munoz on Friday afternoon.

According to Springfield Police Department’s spokesman Ryan Walsh, the Strategic Impact Unit found 17 bags of heroin and 21 bags of cocaine at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

Detectives observed a drug transaction on the 1000 block of Dwight Street in the North End of Springfield.

Munoz was walking in the area of Main St. and Church St. when detectives found the narcotics and arrested him.

27 year old Jomar Munoz of Chicopee is charged with:

  • Possession with the intent to distribute a Class A Drug
  • Possession with the intent to distribute a Class B Drug
