Chicopee police are investigating after shots were fired early Sunday morning.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News, officers were called to Wolfe Street at 1:30 a.m. Sunday for numerous reports of shots fired.

Wilk said officers found several shell casings, a car in front of a residence on the street that had been hit, and heard reports of a ricochet round hitting a home in Springfield.

A Springfield police dog was called in to attempt to a track, but was unable to come up with any suspects.

No one was injured, but Chicopee police are increasing patrols in the area.

Anyone who may have seen something, or knows anything about the incident is asked to call the Chicopee Police Department at 413-594-1740.
