Chicopee police looking to identify CVS armed robbery suspect


UPDATE: Chicopee police have identified the suspect and detectives are pursuing charges.

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)Chicopee police are asking for help identifying a man accused of armed robbery.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News, the incident happened on August 28 when the man walked into the CVS on Memorial Drive with a backpack on. 

Wilk said the man allegedly walked through the store putting items inside his backpack.

When the man left the store an employee followed him to see what direction he was going and if he had a car.

Wilk said it was at this point the man pulled out a hypodermic need and pointed it at the employee, tell the employee to back off. 

The man then ran down James Street. 

Chicopee police are asking anyone who the identity of the man to call police at 413-594-1740 and reference case 4087.
