A Chicopee police recruit will be summonsed into court for allegedly operating under the influence of alcohol after an early morning crash Saturday.
Chicopee police responded to a call for a single car crash on Pendleton Avenue a little before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
When they arrived officers found a car crashed into a tree and the driver sitting on the ground.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk, this is an active investigation.
The driver’s name has not been released.
