NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) – A Connecticut State Police Trooper was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence in Norwich on Sunday evening.
Police say at around 5:20 p.m., dispatch received a call about an erratic driver on West Main Street. Officers were then able to locate the vehicle and pull it over.
The driver was identified as 34-year-old Sarah Starkey, a trooper with Troop E in Montville. She has been with the department since 2013.
Starkey was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor/drugs, evading responsibility, failure to drive right and unsafe movement from stopped/standing position.
She was released on a $250 bond and will appear in court on November 20th.
State Police said Starkey has been suspended until further notice.
