Easthampton man pleads guilty to several rape charges, sentenced to 18 years

An Easthampton man will spend no more than 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to several rape charges.

The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office told 22News 50-year-old Robert LaFoe Jr., pleaded guilty in Hampshire Superior Court to four counts of aggravated rape of a child with a five-year age difference, four counts of aggravated rape of a child with a 10-year age difference, seven counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14-years or over and one count of rape of a child. 

The crimes spanned 31-years and involved three victims, the DA’s office added. LaFoe Jr. is said to have lived at a home that formerly held a daycare center, although his victims were not children under the daycare center’s supervision.

LaFoe Jr. was sentenced to spend 16 to 18 years in state prison.
