Easthampton police seeking arrest warrant after overnight break-in, armed robbery


EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Easthampton police are seeking an arrest warrant for a suspect in an overnight breaking and entering and armed robbery.

According to Easthampton police, officers were first called to Mutter Street at approximately 1:58 a.m. Thursday for the reported breaking and entering. While investigating that crime, officers were called to the 7-11 store on Union Street at 2:20 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery. 

Easthampton police said when officers got there, the suspect was seen driving away from the store in a white Nissan pick-up truck. The suspect was later stopped by Northampton police, but ended up getting away. 

The suspect has been identified and is being sought by Easthampton police detectives. 22News will bring you more information as it becomes available.
