Ex-boyfriend arrested after attacking woman in her Hartford home

Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) – A Hartford man has been arrested after forcing his way into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and attacking her.

Hartford Police say 32 year old Juan Valle-Rivera of Garden St. went to the woman’s home just after 11 p.m. Friday where he assaulted and strangled her. 

Her injuries are not life-threatening. Before leaving Valle-Rivera broke several items. 

Valle-Rivera is charged with home invasion, strangulation second degree, criminal mischief first degree, assault third degree, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief third degree (3 counts).
